Dr. McKay has practiced gastroenterology for 25 years in Wake County, the last 14 as a founding member of Digestive Healthcare. Board-certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology, Dr. McKay’s medical interests include colon cancer screening, irritable bowel syndrome, reflux disease and inflammatory bowel disease.
After graduating from the University of Georgia, Dr. McKay received his medical training at the Medical College of Georgia, where he also completed his internal medicine residency and a fellowship in gastroenterology.
Dr. McKay is president of the Wake County Medical Society and chairman of the board of Community Health Foundation of Wake and Johnston Counties, an organization that provides care for the underserved citizens of the area.
With his family, Dr. McKay has traveled to Honduras on 15 medical missions, providing care for those in need.
